I wrote a letter to the Lord Chief Justice and the Master of the Rolls in the matter of the possibility that recorder John H Fryer-Spedding was a Freemason. I had taken part in the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee Enquiry into Freemasonry within the Police and Judiciary. John Fryer-Spedding would have been aware of that. If he was indeed a mason then whether or not he was a masons was of relevance. The reasons for his lies must have had some basis. I believe that basis could have been to serve Freemasonry. I was in touch with Lord Nolan who headed the latter Enquiry until January of 1998 when he then wrote telling he was returning to being a member of the Law lords. He wrote that from there onwards he had to remain impartial. I, like others who took part in the Enquiry, also believe that it covered the truth rather than expose it.
