Recorder John H Fryer-Spedding did not tell the truth when he falsely alleged above that the three cases had been subject of a consolidation order (i.e. that the three cases were to be tried as a single action) On 1st June 1994 Carr applied for consolidation of the actions and the Durham County Court refused the application. Spedding is under the circumstances accused of fraud of fraud but at present he is being protected by both Durham and Northumbria Police.
